What is Human Here?

Human Here is a place for small moments happening in real life. You might be practicing a language, doing your makeup, talking about something you know, commuting, cooking, building something, or simply having a conversation.

You are already doing it. Human Here lets another person join you for a moment.

Does my session need to be something special?

No. It can be something completely ordinary. A 10-minute conversation, your morning coffee, practicing German, working on a hobby, sharing a thought, or showing someone a small part of your day can all be Human Here sessions.

How long should a session be?

Human Here is especially suited to short, lightweight moments. The form currently offers planned times of 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes. Choose what feels natural for what you are already doing. You can end earlier, or continue naturally up to 30 minutes live.

How do I host something?

Choose Host something, create your session, add its basic details, and publish it. Once published, the session can appear in Discover according to its scheduled state.

Keep it simple: describe what you are doing and invite someone to join you for a moment.

Where can I find the sessions I created?

Sessions you create are remembered by the browser that created or adopted them. You can find them in My Sessions when using that browser.

Human Here does not yet use full user accounts to synchronize all sessions automatically between devices.

Can I create a session on my computer and host it from my phone?

Yes. After creating the session, copy its Private Host Link and open it on the device you want to use for hosting. That browser will adopt the session and add it to its My Sessions list. After that, you can manage the session normally from that device.

What is a Private Host Link?

A Private Host Link gives access to the host controls for one specific session. It is useful when you want to move a session from one device to another.

Treat it like a key. Anyone with this link can manage that session, so do not publish or share it publicly.

Why don't all my sessions automatically appear on another device?

Human Here is currently in beta and does not yet use a full cross-device account system. Each browser keeps its own list of sessions. You can transfer individual sessions to another device using their Private Host Link.

Can I share the normal session link with other people?

Yes. The normal public session link is the one you can share with visitors. It lets people view the session and join when it is Live.

Do not share the Private Host Link unless you intentionally want to give someone host access.

How do session images work during beta?

During beta, session images use an image URL. If your image is already hosted online, paste its direct image URL into the session form.

If you only have an image file on your device, you can temporarily use an image-hosting service such as ImgBB to upload it and obtain a public image link. Human Here may simplify this with direct image upload in a future version.

What kind of image link should I use?

Use a public direct image link beginning with https://. The image filename must end in .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, .gif, or .avif. For example: https://example.com/photo.jpg.

Copy the link to the image itself, rather than a sharing page or a file path on your device. You do not need to paste HTML. Open the link in your browser to check that it shows the image.

What does Add to Calendar do?

Add to Calendar helps you remember an upcoming session. Session details may still change before it begins, especially during beta. Always check the Human Here session page for the latest information.

What does “Starting Soon” mean?

Starting Soon means the session is approaching its scheduled start time. You can open the session page and be ready, but joining the live room only becomes available when the session is actually Live.

Why can't I join an upcoming session yet?

The live room opens when the session enters the Live state. Before that, you can view the session details and, when available, add it to your calendar.

What happens when a session ends?

An ended session may remain visible in Recently Together. Its public page can show what happened, how long the session lasted, and any continuation link the host chose to share.

What is “Stay in touch” / the continuation link?

A host may choose to add one optional link for after the session. It might lead to their website, Instagram, project, business, profile, or another place where the conversation can continue. The continuation link is optional and belongs to the host.

Do I need an account?

Not currently. Human Here is keeping the beta lightweight. Your browser remembers the sessions you can manage, and Private Host Links let you bring that access to another device.

Can I host in any language?

Yes. Choose the language that matches the conversation you want to have. Visitors can use the language filter in Discover to find sessions that suit them.

What if something is not working?

During beta, you can contact Human Here directly on WhatsApp.

Is Human Here finished?

No. Human Here is currently in beta. Real people are using it while the experience is still being refined. If something feels confusing, inconvenient, or unexpectedly difficult, that feedback is useful.
